DCs public transit system consists of both trains and busses so it’s quite easy to get around. Plan your trip accordingly and find the best way to get from the Lincoln Memorial to Arlington Cemetery using DC Metro Transit which without a data connection has all the maps and routes available at your convenience. If you do have a data connection, it can tell you what time the next bus/train will be arriving.

Air, Car, and Ground Transportation

Airports

Ronald Reagan Washington National—DCA (7 miles from Marriott Wardman Park)

This hotel does not provide shuttle service.

SuperShuttle at Reagan Airport

Door-to-door service is available at Reagan Airport. Shuttles operate on a shared ride-on demand basis. For information, call 800-BLUEVAN or go to http://groups.supershuttle.com/stp.html. Upon arrival proceed to the outside curb and contact the SuperShuttle representative. After hours, call 800-258-3826 and press 1 for dispatch or 2 for reservations. This personalized STP Super Shuttle link provides a discount of $1.00 off one way and $3.00 off round trip reservations from the DCA Airport.

Metrorail from Reagan Airport

Description: Metro Stop

The Washington, DC Metrorail system has an elevated Metrorail station connected to the concourse level of terminals B and C at Reagan National Airport. Metrorail fare cards may be purchased at machines locates at all entrances to the Airport Metrorail station. The station is also fully accessible via elevators.

The Woodley Park Metro-Zoo/Admans Morgan Metrorail stop (Red line) is adjacent to the hotel property.

How to access the Metrorail station from the Terminals:

Terminal B and C:Use either of two enclosed pedestrian bridges on the concourse level which connect directly to the station.

Terminal A: Exit the terminal to the street side curb, and board any “Airport Shuttle” bus. At the stops for Parking Garages B and C (bus shelter #3 and bus shelter #5) you may access an enclosed bridge which connects to the Metrorail station.

How to access the Terminals from the Metrorail station:

Terminal C: Go to the north end of the train platform and exit the station. A pedestrian bridge connects directly to the Terminal’s concourse level.

Terminal B: Go to the south end of the train platform and exit the station. A pedestrian bridge connects directly to the Terminal’s concourse level.

Terminal A: Go to either end of the train platform and exit the station towards the parking garage. Take elevator or stairway down to street level and board any “Airport Shuttle” bus.

Elevator access: The elevator is located at the center of the platform. There is a sloped sidewalk at ground level which connects to both pedestrian bridges.

Parking

Marriott Wardman Park Parking fees are:

  • On-site parking, fee: 36 USD daily
  • Valet parking, fee: 41 USD daily

Driving Directions: Follow the signs to Washington DC (George Washington Parkway). Take I-395 North to Route 1 (Route 1 is the 14th Street Bridge). Merge to the far left lane on the bridge and follow the signs for 14th Street. Take 14th Street for one mile. Turn left onto K Street. Continue on K for five blocks. Turn right onto Connecticut. Avenue. Follow Connecticut Avenue for one mile. Cross over the William Taft Bridge. Make a left turn at the third light after the bridge onto Woodley Road. The Hotel entrance is on left. Shuttle service available from Reston Limousine: call 703-478-0500 or visit the Reston Limousine website. Provides complete ground transportation to and from area airports and surrounding Washington, DC locations.

Washington, DC/Dulles—IAD (24 miles from Marriott Wardman Park)

Driving Directions: Follow the signs to Interstate 66 east to Washington. Follow I-66 to the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge (US Route 50). Take the Constitution Avenue exit off of the bridge. Continue on Constitution for 6 blocks and make a left turn onto 17th Street. This will change to Connecticut Avenue. Continue on Connecticut. Avenue. for one mile. Cross over the William Taft Bridge. Make a left turn at the third light after the bridge onto Woodley Avenue. The hotel entrance is on the left. Baltimore/Washington InternationalThurgood Marshall Airport—BWI (34 miles from Marriott Wardman Park)

Driving Directions: Take I-95 South to I-495 West. Take Exit 33, Connecticut Ave. Southbound. Continue on Connecticut Avenue for about 6.5 miles. Turn right onto Woodley Road. The hotel entrance is on the left.

This hotel does not provide shuttle service.

Metrorail Fares

Metrorail passes may be purchased from vending machines (small bills) in the metrorail stations, or online for US residents. A one-day unlimited pass is available.

Regular fare (In effect on weekdays from opening to 9:30 am, 3:00 pm–7:00 pm, and 12:00 noon to closing)

  • $2.10 minimum + $1 surcharge if a paper farecard is used
  • $5.75 maximum + $1 surcharge if a paper farecard is used

Reduced fare (All other times)

  • $1.70 minimum + $1 surcharge if a paper farecard is used
  • $3.50 maximum + $1 surcharge if a paper farecard is used

If you use a paper Farecard, you will pay a surcharge for each trip. To avoid this additional cost, you can get a SmarTrip® card. The SmarTrip® card is a permanent, rechargeable card that can hold up to $300 in Metrobus, Metrorail, and Metro parking value. The card costs $5.
