Taxi—The hotel is approximately 11 miles (20 minutes) from PDX and a taxi will cost approximately $25. Taxis are available in the center section of the airport terminal’s lower roadway on the baggage claim and departure level.

Rental Cars

Most of the rental car companies at PDX are located on airport property, but a few are located off-property. Airporter shuttles, off-airport rental car shuttles and reserved vehicles are found in the section of the lower roadway closest to the garage.

Parking is available at the DoubleTree Hotel Portland for $9 if you book within the STP Hotel block. If you book outside the STP Hotel block, the cost is $18.

Shuttle Buses

Shared ride shuttle buses are available from the airport terminal’s lower roadway on the baggage claim and departure level. Shuttles are approximately $14 per person, each way and typically stop at multiple hotels. Reservations recommended

MAX (Light Rail)

From the Airport—Board at the PDX Max Station taking the Red Line MAX towards City Center/Beaverton TC. Get off at the Lloyd Center/NE 11th stop and walk two blocks to the DoubleTree Hotel Portland. The cost is approximately $2.50 each way and takes around 25 minutes. See additional information about MAX Light Rail below under Local Transportation.

Local Transportation: Free Ticket for Registrants Will Be Provided at the Meeting

Each registered attendee will receive one ticket in their registration packet on-site that can be used on MAX light Rail, TriMet Buses, and the Portland Streetcar during the week (good through Friday, June 21). (The normal cost is $2.50 for adult 2-hour ticket and $5 for an adult 1-day pass.)

MAX Light Rail—MAX runs every 15 minutes or better with daily service around Portland. Service is less frequent in the early morning, mid-day and evening. The closest station to the DoubleTree Portland is the Lloyd Center/NE 11th stop. This stop connects to the red, green and blue MAX lines. The Convention Center is two stops away from the hotel. Plan your trip online.

Streetcar—The Portland Streetcar connects Northwest Portland, the Pearl District, Portland City Center, PSU, RiverPlace and the South Waterfront District. Hours of operation vary, but streetcars run about every 13 minutes during the day (less frequently in the evening and on weekends).

Bus—TriMet buses serve much of the Portland metro area. Many bus lines connect with MAX Light Rail, WES Commuter Rail and the Portland Streetcar.
